1. Prior to coming in for your procedure, if possible, do not take blood thinners 5-7 days before the procedure to prevent bleeding. Two weeks prior to your procedure, use Tylenol instead of aspirin, ibuprofen, or Advil. Non-aspirin pain relievers may be taken up to one hour prior to the procedure.
2. Avoid Alcohol 24 hours prior to the procedure to prevent bleeding.
3. Allow a minimum of two hours for your makeup procedure.
4. Procedures cannot be performed over fresh sunburns, including those cause by tanning beds. You must wait until the burn heals.
5. To reduce swelling and enhance healing, take extra vitamins and calcium prior to your procedure.
6. Do not take codeine prior to your procedure. You can take Benadryl unless you have a Thyroid disease.
7. You have to be off Accutane for at least one year.
8. Skin treatments such as Retin-A that thin the skin in the procedure area must be discontinued for at least 30 days prior to the procedure.
9. If you have Botox or skin plumping injections such as Restylane, you must wait until these treatments have worn off (typically 30 days) since they may alter the shape of permanent cosmetics
10. If you have a condition that requires you to take antibiotics before a dental visit, you must check with your doctor to determine if antibiotics are needed for permanent cosmetics.
11. If you are coming in for the eyeliner procedure:
- Do not wear contact lenses, as you will not be able to wear them for the next 48 hours.
- Do not wear mascara or eyelash extensions to your appointment.
- Please reschedule your appointment if you have a style or and sort of eye infection.
- If you have Glaucoma, you need to obtain medical clearance.
12. If you are coming in for the eyebrow procedure: do not pluck your eyebrows, wax, or have electrolysis done at least one week prior to your procedure.
13. If you are coming in for the lip procedure:
- If you have Mitral Valve Prolapse, you MUST obtain a prescription for Prophylactic Antibiotics.
- If you have previously had any fever blisters you MUST obtain a prescription for Valtrex prior to procedure.
- Keep your lips well hydrated with Vaseline and drink plenty of water.
- Gently exfoliate your lips 2 times per day, 2 days prior to your appointment.
